Building a Future Worthy of Humanity.

Sander Worm portrait

When I was six, I sat across from adults and discussed big questions like determinism and consciousness with them. They didn't have an answer. Neither did I. But I knew the questions mattered.

That instinct — to reach for what matters — never left. It carried me from a path no one expected to lead anywhere, to representing the Netherlands at the International Physics Olympiad in Japan. Not because I wanted to prove something. Because I couldn't stop asking what's possible.

I believe humanity is the most extraordinary thing in the universe. Not only for what we've built, but for what we are — the consciousness, the creativity, the stubborn refusal to accept things as they are. Technology, at its best, doesn't replace any of that. It reveals it. It makes the genius that already lives in us more explicit.

That's what I'm building toward. Technologies that don't just work, but matter. That treat human progress not as a metric, but as a responsibility.

Stealth Startup · Full-time
Prompt Engineer Apr 2025 – Jul 2025
Scale AI · Part-time · Remote
Reinforcement learning through human feedback. Specialising in mathematics.
Research Assistant ITFA Oct 2024 – Mar 2025
University of Amsterdam · Internship · Amsterdam, Netherlands
Worked on problems concerning AdS/CFT correspondence, traversable wormholes and simulating gravity models on quantum processors. Research conducted in collaboration with Prof. Ben Freivogel.
Research Project Jan 2025
ARCNL · Full-time
Worked on Plateau–Rayleigh instability in waterjets using a piezoelectric nozzle. This concept is fundamental to the fluid dynamics in tin, as used by ASML in their nanolithography machines. Research conducted in collaboration with Mikheil Kharbedia, PhD and Prof. Oscar Versolato.
Research Assistant QGQI Group Aug 2024
University of Amsterdam · Full-time · Amsterdam, Netherlands
Built the prototype of a zero-deadtime atomic based clock (quantum sensing). Installed atomic cavities, heating elements, heat sensors and vacuum chamber components for the first experiment. Research conducted in collaboration with Sumit Sarkar, PhD.
Research Project Jun 2024 – Jul 2024
University of Amsterdam · Full-time · Amsterdam, Netherlands
Led a group of 4 students during a mission to map the hyperfine structure of rubidium using doppler-free spectroscopy. Research conducted in collaboration with Prof. Robert Spreeuw.
Participation Council Member Jul 2022 – Jul 2023
Bertrand Russell College · Part-time · Krommenie, Netherlands
Reviewed regulations concerning finance, education and organisation. Together with faculty members shaped new regulations to improve the high school.
Student Council Member Jul 2022 – Jul 2023
Bertrand Russell College · Part-time · Krommenie, Netherlands
Improved the study environment for students by discussing circumstances with other council members and determining strategies for improvement.
